Wisconsin Recovery Bill Websites

For a couple of websites that try to focus on the help Wisconsin may be getting the recovery/stimulus package.

This is from Senator Feingold's office and is located at:
http://feingold.senate.gov/recovery

One set up by the Federal Government is www.recovery.gov. This focuses on the country as a whole, not just the state. According to this site Wisconsin will be getting about 70,000 jobs from the bill.

There is also a State of Wisconsin website:
www.recovery.wisconsin.gov.

Perhaps President Barack Hussein Obama will send a few million to Green Lake to help the Heidel House eradicate the garlic mustard from the Heidel woods.

Garlic Mustard is an invasive species and has taken over the Heidel woods. It is the responsibility of every landowner in Wisconsin to contain and remove this persistent weed from their property. Since there is so much of it growing right in the center of our community, it will certainly spread to every yard and garden in the city and beyond if left as is.

Early spring is the time to get this garlic mustard under control, I hope that the Heidel House owners will see to it that it happens this year, even if the Feds don't come through.

Maybe Nancy Pelosi can do a "fly over" and spray the garlic mustard.
God Help Us!
Excuse me Chief - SHAME ON US!
We Are IDIOTS for Electing and Re-Electing all of These Jokers into Office. Our Great Grand Kids Will Be Paying the Price for Decades to Come.
What happened to all of the promises and great wisdom of change that were made during the campaign. Our great press and media should share the blame along with the voting America public.

I didn't vote for him! I knew during the campaign that he was making false promises and would bring our country down. It is beyond sickening. And this is just the beginning. This madness really needs to stop. Check out the Obama Crimes website. There is but a glimmer to hope for our country.

What's "Beyond Sickening" is what Bush did to this country and our world. If you didn't hear, he left office ranked sixth from the bottom of the WORST Presidents in USA history. And 61% of our countries noted historians rated him AS the absolute WORST!
Do I need to start a list of his failures for you? Maybe successes, it would a lot shorter list.

I am so much happier with President Obama. No more Bush, Thank god.

I wasn't talking about Bush, I was talking about Obama. You can praise him all you want to, you'll be singing a different tune by the time his term ends. Unless, of course, you are one of the many who have a lot to gain by socialism and wealth distribution. In which case, thanks for being a part of the problem.

For those of you happier with Obama I think the last "anonymous" blogger says it all at the end of the post...Thank god! How appropriate that you would use a small "g" for the spelling...pretty much where we are heading, don't you think.

I just heard a noted economist (since people like quoting "noted historians") who pointed out that since Obama took office he has spent 1 billion dollars - PER HOUR! Do the math, the numbers don't lie. I love the mentality of "What Bush did to our country"...give me a break. What was done to reverse poor decisions when the Democrats controlled the house the last several years. I guess you don't want to give much credibility to the Wall Street Journal who gave Obama an "F" for his first month in office. Hang onto your hat's folks (if you still have one left) because this is going to be a brutal, and historically significant four years of hell!

All I can say is, God (yes, the big 'G' version) help us all. If you have any doubt about what to expect, beyond what has already been shoved down our throats, read the book "Fleeced" by Dick Morris. Morris spent over 20 years as an adviser to democrats, more specifically Bill Clinton. Here is a man who knows the ins-and-outs of politics and is definitely not afraid to call out both Democrats as well as Republicans. He hits the nail on the head with regard to Mr. Obama and what his irresponsible actions will do to this country. Read the book and then tell people how much better things are with Barack Hussein Obama. Once again, God Bless Us All!

The problem is not just Obama.
I did not vote for him but I respect the office and will support our President no matter who it is.
The real problem is Pelosi and Reid. They are running the country, who do think wrote the stimulas bill?. Obama is in over his head and he is allowing the other two to run loose off leash. We are in real trouble people.
Ask yourself why our country passed the largest spending bill in U.S. history without allowing Congress time to read the bill they were voting for?? Why is all of this spending with "NO PORK or EAR MARKS" getting jammed thru at lightning speed? Why was the recent Omnibus spending bill signed in private and once again not given time to be cross checked or debated?? Do you realize that many items in the plan have already been funded by the 1st stimulas plan. Yes that is correct, we are so stupid we are paying for programs twice!
I voted for Bush and I agreed he screwed up, but we cannot continue blaming everyone else except for the ones at the helm. Do yourself a favor and investigate these issues on your own. Take the emotion out, don't choose sides, just do some homework. Look on the internet, read the paper and make your own decision. Don't take everything your hear from Bill Maher and Keith Oberman as gospel. There is plenty of blame to go around both Democratic and Republican. You can find the truth on your own.

Anonymous said...

everyone wants to blame whoever the president is. let's get back to basics. people in this country have to get back to work and stop feeling that they deserve so much at such a young age. young people are buying homes, cars, and overpriced stuff when they cannot afford it. work- earn- save- then buy. all the jobs that have been lost thus far are bs jobs and the lack of disposable income from the under employed is starting to show up in the economy. everything is correcting it's self. homes are not selling because they are overpriced and not worth it. cars are the same way. years ago the thought of gm going belly up was insane but not now. i have been buying gm products for years but no more because they have cheapened the product while raising the price and over paying all employees from top to bottom. same with caterpillar. work there draw your 60,000.00 per year with benefits while you walk around with a rag in your back pocket. now they all will have to find a real job.

Listening to Maher, Oberman or Maddow on one end is as bad as listening to Rush, Hannity or Coulter on the other. Extremist on either end of the spectrums do nothing but divide us and make their own bank accounts fatter at our expense. Let’s hear it for moderates and common sense thinking and actions.

Anonymous said...

Amen to that! Extremist talking heads spend their time and waste our time shouting at each other about each other. If they'd all shut the hell up and move out of the country, we could get on with work that needs to be done. As you say, common sense needs to prevail somehwere, but right now, it's getting silenced in America.

Talking heads pack there banks acounts with cash from people that soak up the crap they spew out over the airwaves or write in their useless books. It's sickening.

Anonymous said...

Hannity or Coulter do speak common sense, but you have to have common sense to understand the truths that they speak about. Stay in denial as long as you want, but things are truly messed up in this country and it's going to get a lot worse.

When you think Ann Coulter speaks common seense you are on the fringes of society.

The liberals are at it again. In a new bill (introduced the first day of present session of Congress), targets all gun owners in the U.S.A.

This bill seeks to strip us all of our Constitutional Rights to possess and bear firearms of any distinction. It requires, within the first two years, that all new guns be registered. The bill goes retroactive after two years. Meaning that two years after the passage of the bill, ALL FIREARMS in a citizen’s possession must be registered, not just those purchased after the bill passes, and this apparently applies to antique firearms as well.

Every five years the firearm owner must go through a complete renewal process for each weapon owned. Failure to comply carries stiff penalties including confiscation of the firearms and jail time (penalties as high as ten years imprisonment in some cases). The bill also authorizes government searches without warrant, the creation of a federal bureaucracy to monitor firearm possession, etc.

A Little Gun History Lesson
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

------------------------------

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

---------------------------

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

------------------------------

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, some 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

----------------------------

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, some 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

------------------------------

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

------------------------------

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

-----------------------------

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

------------------------------

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely a affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.

With Guns.............We Are 'Citizens'.
Without Them........We Are 'Subjects'..

During WW II.. II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED !

Note: Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 & was Naval Attache to the. U.S.. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend the country.

It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U.S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U.S. & knew that almost all households had guns.

It is very disturbing that our second amendment rights are being threatened! You should all be fearful of the future of this country. Throw out all the snide remarks you want to, but this is reality. It is being called the HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

•It is registered
•You are fingerprinted
•You supply a current Driver's License
•You supply your Social Security #
•You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
•Each update - change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
•There is a child provision clause on page 16, section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and violations are punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

Here is the second amendment:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Notice how most people only focus in on "to keep and bear arms". Are you really part of a militia which is necessary for the security of a Free State? Didn’t a Free State Militia or a Posse Comitatus go out with the 1800’s? I'd rather leave the protecting of our Free State to the US military and law enforcement agencies. Trust me, if they fail to stop the opposing enemy, I really don't think a bunch of local guys with a couple boxes of ammo and some guns will be of much help.

I'm not saying we shouldn't own guns, I own six myself. But don't wrap yourself around an amendment that wasn't designed or intended to allow you to build your own arsenal in your basement.

It is our own government that we are going to need protection from. Of course they are going to try to disarm us first. Wake up.

Most of you all were wrong about George Bush when you voted for him. He was the worst president we have ever had. He took us to the wrong war. You will be wrong about Obama too. He is the most intelligent man we have had in office in years. Bush and his right wing radicals put this country in the mess we are in, and I admire anyone trying to get us out of it. If we had listened to Obama years ago, we wouldn't have allowed Bush to attack Iraq. What a nightmere he has put our country through!!!

I don't feel I need protection from the government but people I do feel I need protection from people like the guy quoting the statics. He will be the one shooting up a playground, church or workplace sometime with an AK 47 to prove his point about someone out to get him.

George Bush the worst president we ever had? Must be someone young and dumb or just another old and stupid person who has been swayed by the media and forgotten what is was like not so long ago. Look at the stats.

When you talk worst let's not forget Jimmy Carter and what he did with his idealistic agenda. Weren't things great back then with double-digit inflation, gas rationing, lack of respect from foreign governments, unemployment skyrocketing, our country in a recession/depression...Oh wait - am I talking about Jimmy's 1970's or are we referring to Barry's 2009's and beyond.
Don't let the numbers get in the way when you talk about the worst.
Most people won't argue Obama's intelligence. He is well educated and has been coached/counseled/developed into the charismatic persona we've all come to know and mistrust. He is a "politician", plain and simple. Have you seen any film footage of him prior to his presidential run? Have you seen the real Barack (read the Newsweek article "When Barry Became Barack"). Have you noticed how Obama stumbles when confronted with an issue for which there are no "cookie cutter" answers flowing forth from his ever present teleprompter. We used to refer to these 'things' as automatons - emotionless, faceless entities that say and do the 'right' things (Oh my - a real life Manchurian Candidate scenario).
Get your information straight before you beatify St. Barack...Eventually the wolf will be exposed under the sheep's clothing...Hopefully it won't be too late. God bless us all.

We are witnessing great theater from President Obama. Let's enjoy it and think positive. Remember what FDR said," we have nothing to fear but.......

People, please do your homework. This entire subprime lending mess was created by the Community Reinvestment Act, which was passed by President Carter, a Democrat, in 1977. Later on in the 1990s, Bill Clinton, another Democrat, passed laws to enforce the original bill. The purpose of the CRA is to force banks to make risky loans to people who can’t afford to repay those loans.

In 2003, George W. Bush tried to stop the Democrats from ruining the economy with these forced loans. He was blocked by Democrats like Barney Frank. ”These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. Barney Frank quote: ”The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

Bush was the first to recommend regulating the GSEs in April, 2001. In 2003, Bush tried to create a new federal agency to regulate the GSEs. He was blocked from doing so by the Democrats in the Senate, especially by Barney Frank. In 2005, Alan Greenspan warned that failing to regulate the GSEs could be a catastrophe. Again, Democrats blocked the effort to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The video shows Democrat Chuck Schumer protesting that regulation is not needed. In 2006, McCain and other Republicans introduced a bill to regulate the GSEs. Again, the Democrats voted against it and nothing happened.

Obama himself sued banks on behalf of ACORN, to force the banks to make these risky loans.

Obama sued Citibank under the Community Reinvestment Act in a typical ACORN-style lawsuit to force the bank to make these risky loans. ACORN filed many of this type of lawsuit alleging racism in all of them.

According to opensecrets.org, Obama was also the second-highest recipient of political contributions from the GSEs. The American Spectator notes that he included 5.2 billion dollars of taxpayer money for ACORN in the porkulus bill.

Maybe by the next presidential election you will have opened your eyes to the truth.
