ABA Development

At the last meeting for the ABA development the current plat was turned down. The developers are going to have to come back with a new modified plan. I think if they would increase the lot size they would not be meeting with so much resistance but they don't seem to want to do this. I noticed in the Ripon paper a photo of a bald eagle nesting in the development area. The Green Lake Center just seems to want to ignore ths aspect of the possible developement.

Why don't these developers just hang it up? Hardly anything is selling on the lake these days anyway, and Maplewood is the obvious poster child for failed developments. Leave nature alone and let the Baptists find other ways to fund their missions.

Here is a different spin on letters A.B.A. in hopes to get Green Lake School District residents to open their eye and ears to what the Administrators are doing to our school. Chief maybe you can start a new blog for this category.

Absolutely
Bad
Administrators

To date, 15 current staff members will not be here next year, two accepted an early retirement offer. I hear the Green Lake Reported has been interviewing and will have a article in next weeks paper.

People have a lot more to say about this issue if any of you are interested in having this a blog spot. Let the Chief know

This week the County Committee on development and zoning denied the first Lindenwood plat (Lawsonia Estates) which had been denied also by Township of Brooklyn via their plan; nothing was done re. zoning changes by either of these two groups as plat not approved. Recent meeting of the Town recognized the Comprehensive plan which was for lots 1 or 2 acres and not more than 5. A rumor was around that Lindenwood agreed to the larger size from 1/2 an acre but latest is that Lindennwood determined not to follow the Town's Comprehensive plan re. lot size, claiming plan is not in effect until 2010. No way is that correct as ALL county's in WI have to have a plan set by 2010. Town's plan has already been approved by Green Lake County and even went to the State where it has had approval. So, Lindenwood has been stubborn and many efforts have been done ($$$) by this company having to do with water movement, sewer system, roads in area and connection(s) with HWY 23, etc.. Piles of maps have been prepared for members' review. Also, coming in soon to all members working on this development issue, will be report from the Engineers hired by Town (Strand) whose latest number of issues is 61. Some, of course, have been completed.
Another important issue is that GLCC is really the American Baptist Assembly, Inc. and in 1958 at time of Grant Anderson, ABA directly revarified the properties (specific lots) had the right to use ALL of the roads. It sounds as though a very poor title search was done by the developer with the omission of these important legal limitations including the isolation of their development from others and changes in the roads.

I also would like to see some blog action regarding the blatant, perverted abuse of power taking place at Green Lake High School. This situation needs to be addressed immediately and with firm action. Perhaps many of you don't know about the unjustices taking place under the dictatorship of mr.e.jon tracey. (In case you were wondering, "e" stands for evil.) We need to get rid of this guy ASAP and by any means possible. The school board did not check his background well enough before hiring him, and in my opinion his grossly inappropriate actions are worthy of breaking his contract and forcing him to leave (without a severence package, please!) Why Ken Bates is allowing such things to take place beyond me. Apparently he isn't any better.

frogger....
instead of blowing hot air, why don't you do something about it. List your grievances, canvas locals to see how many feel the same, start a petition and present it to the authorities.

Hanging around blog sites pissing and moaning will get you nowhere fast.

Do you not read the other postings. Most of them are pissing and moaning about something...frogger has a right to post...

Good words frogger

I didn't say frogger does not have a right to post, or to piss and moan, I suggested a course of action that might turn negativity into something more positive.

How come the Brooklyn Town isn't collecting any room tax from the ABA? It's common knowledge they get all kinds of groups that would normally pay room tax if they went to any other of the hotels around Green Lake?
I think they are pulling a fast one on the Brooklyn Board by hiding behind the "religious conference center" flag, and then hosting things like state invesigator groups, math teachers groups, even adult church groups, people on vacation rentals....

Wake up, Brooklyn Board... you should be demanding to see the listing of all of their rental groups, and you will find out that
you are being fooled. They are laughing behind your back that they can operate and skip out on what everyone else is required to do. That tax income could solve your problem
on the recreational use issue of Brooklyn residents and your issue with city of Green Lake.
