Mini Tornado

Looks like we had a little wind storm hit the lake last night. There are lots of trees down on the east end and Sunnyside got hit also. I saw a few tipped over boat lifts near the inlet.

Did anybody actually see a funnel?

GREEN LAKE COUNTY - Severe storms that rolled through Northeast WIsconsin on Friday left numerous trees and powerlines down in the Township of Brooklyln in Green Lake County.

Sheriff's officials responding to calls found extensive damage to homes, boats, piers and other property.

"Damage to the area indicated that an apparent tornado approached the east end of Big Green Lake, and traveled in a southwest to northwest direction for approximately one mile," reported Sergeant Jeffrey Kiener in a sheriff's department news release.

But early Saturday a representative from the National Weather Service stationed in Milwaukee toured the damage and determined straight lines winds up to 100 miles per hour hit the area.

Green Lake County Emergency Management director Gary Podoll was called to the area to assess the damage.

Law enforcement report no injuries from the storm.
