A Truck through the Ice Monday
I heard a truck went through the ice just below Sandstone this morning. Apparently it was 5 Ripon college students. People who don't know the lake don't know there are currents under the bluff that keep spots from freezing solidly. As they used to say on Hill Street Blues, "Be careful out there guys!"

I'll bet e. jon or Bates had something to do with this. Sorry, this was such a lonely blog and you know how blog-crazed people get anytime you mention someone, or something, from the school.
Actually, it was Ken Bates who led the truck onto the ice on his mountain bike, luring the innocent youth to their doom as the thin ice came nearer and nearer, it's transparency disguised in under a thin crust of fresh-blown snow...then he suddenly cuts sharply towards the shore, his pedals a blur of frenzied motion (thank God for those shoe straps)...the truck unable to slow down in time slides surrealistically to it's fate, the ice gives way in a surprisingly quiet display of surrender... the truck plunges into the frigid waters of Big Green, the young innocents crying simultaneously for their collective life, and the evil Bates strains his glutes to pedal maniacally back onto the frozen shore, his helmet covered in frost, his face dripping with sweat he continues his journey without ceasing, to destroy young life with all the power that is within him, that was granted to him by the Administrator of Darkness, the Supreme Destroyer of Life.
