Harvard Astrophysicist Dr. Willie Soon to speak in Green Lake
Harvard astrophysicist Dr. Willie Soon will be speaking on “Climate Change and the Sun,” at Thrasher Opera House, 506 Mill Street, Green Lake, Wisconsin, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. The lecture is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by The Heartland Institute, a 25-year-old independent, non-profit, and non-partisan public policy research organization created to discover, develop, and promote free-market solutions to social and economic problems.

Does this mean that the sun is responsible for "global warming"? Go figure. Al Gore will have to revise his ridiculous movie now. Right after he re-invents the internet.

If you want to go hear a guy tell you that man has had no affect on climate change, it's all the suns doing and we shouldn't worry, then go hear Dr Soon; you'll enjoy it.
If you believe we have played a part in climate change, and there are things we should stop doing to try and slow the warming that climate change is bringing, then don't go hear Dr Soon; he'll only make you angry.
Personally, I'm going to do what I can to have a smaller "carbon footprint". Not because I worry to much about Climate change, is it a hoax or fact, but because I believe having a lesser impact on our planet and its resources is just a good thing to do.
Do a "google" on Dr Soon, lot's of arguments on both sides about him. You should also do more research on climate change in general.
Very interesting, all this climate change stuff. I'm amazed that we know what the temperature on planet earth was millions of years ago and what the temperature was at the deepest points of the ocean tens of thousands of years ago. The truth is...we don't know. It is all based on 'conjecture' and everyone is now an expert with regard to global warming and the melting of the ice cap and why the red breasted cantabobbler in Madagascar has formed a fifth talon due to environmental encroachment.
With the way things are going in the real (unreal??) world around us we probably won't have to worry much about how things will be in 10,000 years, or much less.
With all the nuts out there having access to nuclear weapons this world won't be around long enough to have to worry about such things as global warming.
Speaking of Al Gore, can you believe the fortune he has made off of his whole global warming agenda? Literally taken himself to the threshold of being the first "green Billionaire". He's not in this for the sake of humanity folks...he's in it for the $$$$. Read up on it - it might open your eyes to his ulterior motive.
Al Gore is exploiting global warming and climate change for the sole purpose of taking away our guns! Plus, he has an agenda to impose Groundhog Day on the Taliban and Al Qaeda. I know it is true because I read it somewhere on this blog.
And we sure wouldn't want to leave any room for scientific fact when we can read the "truth" from so many well informed people right here on this blog.
