Well I guess I should check up on my own blog once in a while. I haven't been on here in a while because there hasn't been much going on in town. I was wrong.
I guess this election has really gotten people going. If all you people out there feel this strongly I can only hope you will be at the only poll that counts on Tuesday.
Happy Voting Day!

I vote you delete all that racist crap in the post below this.
IF you are aware of the problems in CHICAGO politics you would vote to keep the problems/power from spreading more.
oh shutup you asshole
PEOPLE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO USE BAD LANGUAGE ON THIS BLOG SITE !
Regarding Chicago politics, the blogger is correct in not wanting to spread this problem further.
According to Jim Wolff's column in last weeks paper, Illinois is ALL Democrats and suffers from a $44 billion debt in the state pension fund. Cook County has a 10.25% sales tax, the school tax rate is the highest in the nation and the school system is one of the worst. This is just an example what an ALL DEMOCRAT political system is capable of doing. And they have nobody to blame but themselves (but I'm sure they don't).
All of you who want a democrat for president (especially Obama) need to have your heads examined. Sadly, you are going to bring disaster to this country and all of us sensible people who voted Republican have to suffer because of YOUR error in judgement.
Obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing, and soon everyone will see what a massive con-game he has pulled on our nation. I very much resent ever single person who is bringing this lying, cheating anti-American creep into a position of totally screwing up our beloved nation. You want change? You are sure going to get it, and it will be disasterous.
ZZZZZZZZ....
another asshole speaks, or maybe the same one.
Enjoy the next few hours, when you wake up tomorrow you'll have yourself a Democratic President, whose black!!!
God bless President Obama.
don't you mean "God damn America"? That is Obama's mantra. God will not bless Obama because Obama is not a godly, worthy man. He is a deceitful liar. Our entire country will suffer because of him.
FYI, it is president elect, not president. It is also "who is" and not "whose". Did you drop out of school or actually graduate?
Name calling and swearing are not appropriate for this blog site.
Your "contributions" to this blog speak volumes about your character. Go bother some other blog.
Looks like a lot of old cronyism here too in the form of nepotism.
Pull out of Iraq?
Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago?
Body count:
In the last six months:
292 killed (murdered) in Chicago;
221 killed in Iraq.
Chicago.... Who Runs it:
Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durban
Rep: Jesse Jackson Jr.,
Illinois Gov: Rod Blogojevich,
Illinois House leader Mike Madigan,
Illinois Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),
Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)
.....our leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.
Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
Of course, they're all blaming each other!
Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.
Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country.
Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he's gonna 'fix' Washington politics for us! Wake Up America!
It is sickening beyond words. The majority of Americans have been brainwashed by the Obama campaign, lied to and deceived. Most of the people who voted for Obama don't even know why they did, they just hopped on board the propaganda train. The liberal media should all be banished from existance. Think if this had been a FAIR campaign, McCain and Palin would have won by a landslide.
Change is on the way, and it ain't going to be good.
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, another powerful Chicago-based political figure associated with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and other long-time associates of Democratic Party presidential candidate Barack Obama, is leaving no doubt about what he thinks of the leader in the campaign for the White House.
He says when Obama talks "the Messiah is absolutely speaking."
You can watch it for yourself on a YouTube video.
Farrakhan proclaims:
"You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."
‘The other day I was readingNewsweek magazine and came across some Poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?
The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain’t happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ‘What are we so unhappy about?’
A. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?
B. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?
C. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?
D. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?
E. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state.
F. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?
G. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.
H. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
I. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.
J. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.
K. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.
L. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.
M. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?
Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.
Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens. They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don’t have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.
Well said Patriot, well said...
Funny how the liberal media is still trying to smear Sarah Palin, even though there is nothing to smear. They only hate her because she is an honestly good person and they are not. For all of you who voted for Obama, you will reap what you have sowed. May God have mercy on the rest of us.
Let's compare and contrast Palin and Obama:
Palin doesn't have Obama's experience in dealing with terrorists, because she hasn't been put on boards or had fundraising parties thrown for her by terrorists.
Palin doesn't have Obama's experience in dealing with corruption, because she's fought corruption instead of embracing it.
Palin doesn't have Obama's experience in dealing with earmarks, as she has refused earmark money.
So yeah, Obama is definitely the more experienced candidate. He's just got the wrong kinds of experience.
I just wanted to lighten things up...I ALWAYS have a wonderful experience voting in the City of Green Lake. I always take my children with so they can see how voting can be a very empowering thing. We are always greeted by wonderful people in the City who are willing to chat with them and make voting an enjoyable experience (even if who you choose doesn't always win).
Great to hear a parents wonderful suggestion!
QUESTION;
Does anyone know if we will have a chance to vote on the special accessments the tax payers are going to have to pay for the ABA/Lindenwood Development?
I was wondering about the $3 million dollar bond that Mike Wuest is wanting the town to pass to pay for the roads of Lindenwood - will people have a chance to vote on that?
Don't we taxpayers have to pick up the tab for the bond if Lindenwood goes bankrupt?
I believe the meeting is this week. Call the township to confirm time.
