Vikings vs. Bears

It isn't very often I hear a bar full of people cheering for the Bears.

It's the annual Brett Favre swoon time! Cold weather, higher winds...too bad the Packers couldn't have won against Tampa Bay or Pittsburgh. With the NY Giants having an axe to grind after getting their butts kicked last weekend they just might beat the Vikequeens next Sunday. If the Packers beat Arizona, and Favre folds, we might be playing the first round of the playoffs....
AGAINST BRETT IN THE METRODOME!
Now that would be poetic justice if we allowed them to win the two regular season meetings but then went on to crush them on their own turf (Tundra??)....
It is fun to dream!

It was great, most exciting game I've watched all year! The Bears came out strong, but the Viks weren't ready to quit, tying it up in the last minute, we all felt the doom we thought was coming. But depsite listening to those announcers and their sickening Brett Favre worshipping, Cutler pulls out a great pass and wins it for Da Bears! every Packer fan could allow themselves to be a Bears fan for Just a momment. It was just Great!!

The best part was Brett's post game interview. Reporters kept asking him about his record (which stinks) in sub-freezing, 20+MPH wind, type conditions and he finally looked at them and stated....
"Well, I guess I'm just not that good of a football player then!"
It came across very immature and unprofessional but I think Brett and Coach "Chilly", as Childress is referred to, are feeling a little bit of tightness around their proverbial collars.
The Vikings have had an outstanding year but I don't think people will give them, or Brett, their due without at least an appearance in the SuperBowl.
The next several weeks will be interesting indeed!
GO PACK! (Thanks Bears!)

Yep - very odd for me to be cheering on the Bears last night. My dad, life-long Bears fan, would be proud had he known...

I was cheering for Brett as he was the one that made the game special. I love his desire to play the game and his attitude toward football as he ages. I am sure we do not fully know the story behind the Packers decision about Farve. He gave us some great years and for that I am greatful to him forever no matter where he plays. Remember Reggie White played for another team before joining the Packers and he went into the Hall of Fame under his old team. So be it. It is only a game! Farve will always be my favorite PACKER.

Whomever the anonymous poster was who drooled all over Brett...
I thought it was hilarious that you tricked us into thinking you really liked him but kept spelling his name incorrectly...Especially the last line..."Farve will always be my favorite Packer". Classic! You purposely don't spell his name right and claim he was your favorite! That is good writing my friend, danm (sp?) gude riting!

That is pretty damn funny.

I've always enjoy Bert Farve! I think he is a good futbol player. I hope he wins the StuperBowl again this year. I think he looks good in purple clothes. I think my parents shouldn't have waited so long to have children so that I'd only have 46 instead of 47 chromosomes...but I still like Bert Farve!
